2013 in Photos

January

January was the month of no school because of snow,

 the consumption of mini eggs,

the purchase of many books,

happy nephews,

to kill a mockingbird,

 Harry Potter necklaces,

bookshops,

and rainy bus stops.

January was friends, family and happiness. January was happy pictures of friends I can no longer show. January was good to me.

February

February was the month of Temple Run 2,

a very 'sweet' valentines day,

mild, sunshiney motorways,

and baking.

February was friends, family, happiness and the Believe Tour. February was happy pictures of friends I can no longer show. February was amazing to me.

March

March was the month of a very happy Megan,

sparkly hello kitty pez dispensers,

panda nails,

the first signs of spring,

and hiding from the cold at friend's houses.

March was friends, family, happiness, pastels, Beautiful Creatures and cinemas. March was happy pictures of friends I can no longer show. March was wonderful.

April

April was the month of sibling love,

selfies with nephews,

a new found love for Yankee Candle,

my braces off,

and fluffy doggy love.

April was friends, family, happiness, barbecues, instagram and ice cream. April was happy pictures of friends I can no longer show. April was lovely.

May

May was the month of pretty lace dresses,

pastel skater skirts,

heart shaped sunglasses,

sunshine,

fanpages,

and loss. May was the breakdown of friendships and twists of fate. May was a sudden state of depression. It was anger, hurt and fear. May was lonely.

May was making myself sick at school so that I could escape. This was wrong.

May was my Mum bringing iced coffee and tea cakes into my bedroom as an attempt to cheer me up as I sobbed into my pillow, begging to move schools. I love her.

May was a lot of love from you guys. I can not express just how much your love impacted me to keep smiling. Without the knowledge of always having someone to talk to, I have no I idea where I would be right now. Thank you.

May was a blur. It was sitting in the school library on my own during break and lunch times, hiding from the world. May was a constant stinging of blood shot eyes. It was no friends and many disappointments. May made me stronger.

June

June was being saved by new people, and being welcomed into a new friendship group where I felt supported and accepted. June was me rebuilding myself, and regaining happiness. It was hard, but I was getting there. June would still have spells of tears.

June was regaining strength through God and The Lord, making be a better person,

sunshiney shopping with my sister,

lemon meringue pie,

building bonds,

work experience,

and my sister planting pictures of Phil Mitchell all over my room whilst I was out.

June was hard at times due to something that was still raw, but June was showing signs of happiness. It was adjusting to new surroundings and people, but June was me seeing the light, and I am forever thankful.

July

July was the month of flowers,

and my first true smile in weeks, months even.

And the smiles kept coming.

I was even smiling on SPORTS DAY!!!!

It was drinking strawberry water outside with a friend,

silly faces crossed with class A photobombing from my sister,

failed selfies with friends,

sparkly watermelon nails,

swimming with dolphins,

and a holiday to Cuba that I will never forget. (I'm so tempted to do a blogpost!! What do you think?)

It was coming back super tanned (for me anyway),

reflecting on how far I had come,

and cuddles for my teddy to thank him for being there for me when I'd find the memories resurfacing at night.

July was myself being happy again. July was meals out, sunshine, and a holiday that I will never forget. It was also a time that I got verbally abused via phone call which destroyed me again, but this time I was stronger, and I was surrounded by friends who all witnessed it for themselves. I was too strong to care.

August

August was experimenting with creative makeup,

sleepovers with my sister,

volleyball with my cousins in the sun,

playful doggies,

a new found love for highlighter,

playgrounds with my nephew,

and sibling love.

August was happy, sunny, and the last bits of Cuba and the Summer holidays. August was amazing.

September

September was the month of my Mum telling me she had seen my sparkle back,

waking up for school with crazy hair,

Disney trivia,

a lot of love for Miley Cyrus,

selfies with my Mummy,

a CHRISTMAS TREE! (In September, I know right,)

falling down slides,

party planning with Nat,

Nat drowning me in orange juice,

the first signs of autumn,

and finding my childhood sleeping bag.

September was returning to school with a clear head, feeling comfortable and secure. It was 'We Can't Stop' on replay, and a whole lot of happiness. September was beautiful.

October

October was the month of a huge Boohoo delivery,

recreating Halloween nails,

3 teenage girls attempting to fix a phone,

Halloween cake pops,

the cotton wool ball challenge with my sister,

shopping with Gina,

finding my personal 'style',

new born piglets,

pizza,

a family outing to pizza hut,

posing quite literally 'in' a tree for my sisters Media Studies photoshoot,

crazy dark makeup for a Halloween party,

a trip to Blackpool to see the lights (it really is quite beautiful),

a picture of Millie and my sister who are both 13 looking older than myself who is 16,

home made chocolate orange cake shaped like a pumpkin,

Halloween decorations,

and reminiscing.

October was busy and fun filled. October was one of my favourite months of the year. It was friends, family and mild chilly days. October was a mad Halloween party and seeing my niece and nephew dressed up for Halloween. It was happy and that is all that I could have asked for. October was special.

November

November was the month of finding ridiculous yet cute snowflake glasses in primark,

sparkly gold heels,

my birthday,

being sent this by Britt who since watching my videos has become a great friend,

a surprising pleasant birthday at school with my favourite people,

the most AMAZING birthday cake ever, made by my Mum,

receiving what I call 'my bear',

the most thoughtful gift ever off my best friends,

daring lip colours,

and a beautiful Christmas Tree in Manchester.

November was my birthday, dressing up and love. It was a sense of Christmas everywhere and I'm a Celeb 2013, which is always a highlight. It was the hacking of my first YouTube channel which I had worked so hard on for a year, but the start of a new one. It was new opportunities. November was nice.

December

December was the month of mock exams,

my disgusting school photo,

our beautiful Christmas Tree,

meek December sunlight,

being silly in a Santa hat,

and the most beautiful ring.

Most importantly, December was family, friends and delicious food. It was a time to be thankful and to look back on the year. It was time to correct our mistakes and praise our successes. December was remembering, but also forgetting and moving on.

It was lovely writing this blogpost, but difficult all the same. It was an opportunity for me to reflect on 2013, and to see how far I'd come. It was nice to refresh myself of the memories that I will never forget. If you take anything away from this post, please let it be the fact that things really do get better. I was depressed and I felt trapped. I was suffocating in my own sadness and I was panicked that I would never be able to escape it. But I did. You can do it, and you will do it, no matter what obstacles you may come across. Make 2014 your year, and forget about any horrors you were faced with. Pack up the memories and the good things in a suitcase that I like to call your heart, and leave the bad things behind. I love you, and I hope 2014 is everything you could hope for. Live for the now, take pictures, and be optimistic. This is what will make your year the most memorable. Thanks for reading my vague description of last year and letting me share things with you. Happy New Year! My favourite little book.

Happy New Year everybody!
I sincerely hope that 2014 is good to you. It is that time again where we are given the opportunity to start afresh. Now don't get me wrong, I believe that every new day is a chance for you to change or start doing things that you've always wanted to do, but the start of a new year seems to make that seem a whole lot more achievable.
'A New Year, A New Me' is a phrase that I see EVERYWHERE at this time of year, and I can't lie, I'm not particularly fond of it. Never change yourself. Change your lifestyle, dreams, actions, the way you treat others, but NEVER change yourself. There is nothing wrong with who you are, we all have our inner flaws and it is those things that we should aim to improve. I think 'New Year, Better Me' is more appropriate, because you are wonderful just the way you are and we all have room for improvement.
In my 'Countdown To Christmas Tag' on my YouTube Channel, I mentioned that I did not at that time have any New Years Resolutions. However, since then, I have come up with a few.

My New Years Resolutions - I shall come back to these at the end of the year so that I can see what I have managed to achieve.
  • Eat healthier and get fit
  • Study harder in order to achieve my expected grades when summer comes
  • Post more blogposts and videos
  • Make my videos more creative and fun
  • Stop worrying about my outer flaws and be less insecure of my appearance
  • Stop swearing - This I do more out of habit when I'm angry or stressed rather than out of choice - I've come up with a strategy where I put a pound in my pound tube every time I swear

  • Less spending, more saving
  • Be more organised
  • Find a job
  • Keep a 'Dream Diary' (Where you write down the dreams you have in your sleep, so that you can refresh your memory of them - I love dreams) - I just posted a blogpost telling you about the dreams in my 2012 'Dream Diary'!
  • Keep a 2014 'Memory Jar'
  • Build stronger relationships with the people that I love
  • Get out and do things
In terms of getting out and doing things, I have this wonderful little book that I purchased a couple of years back, probably in 2012.

'101 Things To Do Before You Die'

This book is great if you have a thirst for experience like me. Since I bought this book, I would often find myself flicking through all of the fun pages and have even attempted planning some of the 101 things, and then I would just put it back on the shelf and it would be forgotten. Not this year.

I am going to be squeezing as much life out of 2014 as I can, because I am disappointed to say that I wasted 2013. The heartbreak of Talia Castellano's death really slapped me in the face. She was and always will be my idol, and she has made me understand that I am blessed with life and my health. It must not be wasted.
Inside this book there are different tasks and activities on each page, designed to give the reader the most out of life.

This is one of my biggest motivators for 2014. Some of the things on the list are going to take years to achieve, but I love the idea of the goals always being there.
I plan to blog about my experiences doing these things, and I even have one coming up which I completed last Summer!

To conclude, I want to wish you all a wonderful 2014. Enter each day with a positive, open heart, because for all you know, this could be your best year yet! Something that I learnt the hard way in 2013; It is YOU that has the control over your life, so never EVER let anybody bring it down. You have the power to make this year amazing, so all I can say is go out there and do it. 2014 is going to be your year because I have every faith in you that you shall make it happen. Good luck x

My 2012 'Dream Diary'

Tomorrow's blog post is going to be all about the New Year, including my New Years Resolutions. One of which is to keep a 2014 'Dream Diary'.
I got this idea from my 101 Things To Do Before You're Old & Boring book early on in 2012, because as a lover of dreams, I thought it would be nice for me to keep a record of them. Did you know that after 5 minutes of waking up, you forget 50% of your dream? After 10 minutes, 90% is gone. The idea is to keep a pen and some paper beside you, so that when you wake up, you can immediately write down everything you remember, fold it up and keep it in a safe place for when you want to look at them again. In 2012, I did this twice and was too lazy to do the rest. I deeply regret this as looking back, I had so many dreams that I found amazing, I even had one that made me "fall in love" *cringe*. I have no records of these, just extremely vague memories, and that makes me sad.
I just dug out the two pieces of paper where I scribbled my dreams down, and I thought considering that this is 'My Diary', it would be fun to share them with you.
I am going to be typing them down exactly how I have written them, but anything underlined is what I have added in now for explanation.
This first one includes people that I know, therefore I shall make up random names for their protection. (And to keep the people a secret due to sheer embarrassment)
Dream 1
This all took place in PE3. - this is a room in my school that is also known as 'the old canteen', which now serves as a multitude of things including practical pe lessons, drama lessons and exams. It was exam period. For some reason, all/most of my year had to do a drama exam hosted by Miss Crimson. Firstly, my year had to sit down and watch the year above do a puppet performance, although they were people I don't claim to have seen before. This is going to confuse you a little, but I am in Year 11 now, however when this dream took place I was in Year 9 yet I dreamt that I was in Year 10, therefore we were watching the Year 11's who are now the Year 12's... Sorry about that. When they had finished, it was our turn to do our Drama Improvised Performance exam. - We got given a theme and we had to make up a scene on the spot, with our drama teacher shouting directions and instructions at us to test our skills. We all went to get changed into the costumes that were provided for each of us, and they turned out to be ball gowns. We realised that our theme was a ball. My dress was long, white and floaty, encrusted with silver diamonds around the waist, along the sweetheart neck line, and they went up in an ombre design starting at the hem so that they got less and less eventually fading out. It was beautiful. Back in PE3, the girls met with the boys who were now in tuxedos and suits. The examiner gave us our instructions, rules and of course the theme of a ball, and we all were told to begin. A ball scene took place with everybody dancing and miming general chit chat etc, and then Miss called out our next instruction which was to kiss someone  - clearly this was not naturalistic theatre because when does it ever occur that everybody at a ball finds somebody to kiss at the same time?... I could not find anyone that was free, but when I turned my head, James came running over, he kissed me for a couple of seconds, and then Miss shouted 'Exam Finished'. He walked away without saying a word. Although it was only acting, I was shocked as it had appeared so real. - Pass me the bucket. I immediately ran over to tell Sasha, Mel and Beth about the kiss, and Beth ran off to ask James about it. When they came over to us, Beth said 'show me' and he kissed me again. - I am wetting myself laughing whilst writing this out you have no idea. Everyone was in a buzzing mood. - I'm so done. Why did I even need to write that. For some reason, Mel & Beth thought that when we kissed, he had done the 'movie-style-sweep-her-off-her-feet' thing, so they went over and asked him jokingly if I am light. That is when he came over, picked me up and spun me around. Everyone was convinced that he was crazy about me.

BLEUGHHHH. That is absolutely vile. I do love a good romantic love story but the fact that the people in this are real life people that I have to face on a day-to-day basis is just horrifying. I do have to mention thought that if you are a friend, ex-friend, boyfriend, ex-boyfriend, I can guarantee you that you do not know who the characters in my dream are because they are totally random. Hehehe I feel so mysterious and sneaky.

Now onto our second dream. If you didn't know all ready, I'm a muggleborn Witch. In my head I am anyway. But what I can make you believe is that I am a Potterhead and I shall take it to my grave. My ultimate fictional crush is Draco Malfoy. I shall not go into detail as to why I'm so attracted to him otherwise I would be here for a very long time, and it is already almost 3am. Not only is this piece of information important, but the fact that I am a Dramione shipper is too. 'Dramione' is Draco combined with Hermione. I ship that so hard. I love the idea of a passionate romance concealed by two fiery character's pride. I remember leaving it a little too long before writing this dream, hence why it is slightly sketchy and doesn't piece together as well as I'd hoped.
Dream 2
I was Hermione, and Draco was Draco. We were in the middle of what seemed like the Antarctic where it was covered in ice, snow and mountains. We were constantly bickering the way that Hermione and Draco always would. We needed to get down from the mountain in order to get to wherever we needed to go. I said 'There is no way to get down, it's too slippy and dangerous'. And Draco replied 'Good one Granger, well spotted.' Suddenly, the Hogwarts Express appeared and Stan Shunpike told us to board. We sat in one of the compartments and neither of us had any idea why we were putting up with eachother, yet we still continued with the nasty comments. The train started taking us down the mountain. There is a gap here from where I must have forgot something. The next thing I knew, I was falling down the mountain thinking that I was going to die, and then I felt someone grab me and it was Malfoy. He had saved me although we hate eachother. The dream jumped to where Hermione (me) said something along the lines of 'why is it that we hate eachother but when it comes down to it, we save eachother's lives?' And Draco replied with something like 'I dunno...' And then I looked at Draco, and he looked at me, and we kissed. It looked just like when Ron and Hermione kissed in the Chamber of Secrets.

This was a pretty nice dream to wake up to if I'm honest, because it felt so real. In terms of Harry Potter dreams, I vaguely remember having one where I was Ginny Weasley and I was Head Girl at Hogwarts and that felt magical and real too, but of course, I did not write it down and that is all that I can remember. Harry Potter dreams are my favourite, and I hope that I have many more in 2014.
I really hope that you enjoyed this post, and at times you found it quite humorous. I am definitely going to keep a dream diary this year so that I can not only entertain myself, but my readers too.
Keep dreaming.
